Questions and answers on our turnkey solar solutions

We design and build turnkey Commercial and utility-scale solar PV systems from around 5,000 m² total area.

  • Commercial rooftop systems: Equates to about 500 kWp and above.
  • Ground-mounted solar farms: The economically viable entry point is significantly higher (starting from approx. 5 hectares).

The technical expenditure for grid connection, medium-voltage engineering and general planning is incurred regardless of the size of the system and only becomes worthwhile from a certain output. For smaller projects, we are happy to pass you on.

As an experienced EPC main contractor (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) we realise your large-scale photovoltaic project completely from a single source. Our range of services includes:

  • grid connection, construction, landscape, layout and string planning
  • Design of medium-voltage and protection systems
  • Procurement of all components (modules, mounting structure, inverters)
  • Turnkey assembly as well as commissioning and complete documentation

Your advantage: you receive exactly one contract, a single point of contact and a turnkey system, instead of having to coordinate countless individual trades yourself.

Yes, and this is our key unique selling proposition (USP). The compact substations and transfer stations for the medium-voltage connection we manufacture ourselves within the corporate group:

  • In-house production: The certified concrete components are manufactured in the factory in Bünde (East Westphalia) cast and equipped with electrical engineering.
  • Everything from a single source: Protection concept, system certification and direct coordination with the distribution network operator are handled via the same part of the building.

Result: Interface issues between the PV installer and the substation supplier as well as typical delivery time and warranty risks are completely eliminated.

Yes. Our corporate headquarters and production plant are located in Bünde (North Rhine-Westphalia), additionally, technology and sales are Dresden represented.

  • From these two locations, we implement commercial rooftop systems and solar parks in the entire federal territory (throughout Germany) with our own installation teams.
  • In complex grid connection planning, we work seamlessly with all relevant German distribution system operators.

Yes. Industrial battery energy storage systems (BESS) can be seamlessly integrated into both new installations and existing systems. Typical use cases for companies and investors are:

  • Increase in self-consumption
  • Peak shaving
  • Grid-friendly and flexible operation

Advantage with Faber: Because the design, AC connection and medium-voltage technology are planned across all trades, no subsequent external system is created, but rather a perfectly calculated overall energy concept.

  • For ground-mounted solar parks: Of particular interest are conversion areas, verges along motorways and railway lines, disadvantaged areas and arable land with low soil quality – ideally from approx. 5 hectares with a grid connection point within reach.
  • For commercial rooftop systems: Surface areas are the decisive factor from approx. 5,000 m², the roof structural analysis, the remaining lifespan of the roof membrane, and the orientation.
