Faber Solartechnik GmbH was founded in 2018 and specialises in the design and implementation of high-performance photovoltaic systems. We develop bespoke energy solutions for commerce, industry and open-space sites – from the initial idea to successful commissioning.
In doing so, we combine technical expertise, many years of experience, and reliable project management. Our standard: cost-effective photovoltaic solutions that deliver long-term results.

Our history
In 1995 Emil Faber founded Elektro Faber, thereby laying the foundation for our corporate group today. Originally rooted in traditional electrical installation, Waldemar Faber increasingly focused the company on photovoltaics from 2008 onwards.
In 2018, this business division was spun off into the independent Faber Solartechnik GmbH. The initial focus was on high-performance photovoltaic systems for commercial and industrial properties. In 2019, we expanded our range of services to include the in-house development of open-space and solar parks.
With the founding of Faber E-Tec GmbH in 2020, the corporate group expanded its expertise to include the development and manufacturing of transformer and compact substations. This enables us to support photovoltaic projects even more comprehensively and reliably connect the generated energy to the power grid.
In 2021, we realised our first utility-scale photovoltaic projects. Over the following years, the corporate group grew continuously: by 2022, we already employed more than 130 staff across three locations.
In 2024, we presented our solutions to a broad trade audience for the first time at Intersolar Europe. In 2025, the Faber Energy Group employed around 190 members of staff – united by a shared goal: to actively help shape the energy supply of tomorrow.

As part of the Faber Energy Group, we draw upon comprehensive know-how from various areas of the energy industry. Together with our sister companies, we offer solutions for photovoltaics, transformer substations, medium voltage, battery storage systems and electricity marketing.
This close cooperation enables us to take a holistic view of even complex energy projects and implement them efficiently.
